I am a graduate of NC State University—GO PACK!!!—and this is my 4th year teaching math at the high school level. This is my 2nd year at Weaver Academy. When not confusing children with mass amounts of numbers, I enjoy hanging out with friends, planning my wedding, and helping with ministries at my church.

AFM: Advanced Functions and Modeling (AKA: Everything you wanted to do in Algebra 2 but didn’t have time for!) • AFM delves deeper into topics that students have only dealt with at the surface level so far. We will be looking at statistics & probability, functions and their graphs, trigonometry, sequences and series, and all the while seeking to relate it back to the world we experience around us and how it applies in our lives!
This course will have a teacher made midterm, as well as final exam that will count 25% of the student’s final grade.

Algebra 2 • This is a fast-paced class that covers an array of mathematical topics that build on one another. This is a very foundational math class upon which all others develop. Although we will be moving quickly, it is my goal to show students real life applications of what they are learning. It is important to get a strong start so that we can finish even stronger! This course has a state-mandated EOC that will count 25% of the student’s final grade.
