Weaver Home Page

As a native of Chicago and a teaching fellow graduate of the University of Illinois/Champaign-Urbana, I majored in Speech Education with a minor in English. After nine years of teaching and coaching speech in a Chicago suburb, my husband and I moved to Greensboro because he was offered the position of Varsity Basketball Coach at Dudley. To get him, they had to take me! After two years at Dudley, I transferred to Page where I taught English and was the Buccaneer advisor until 1998. During that time, we had a son named TJ who is twenty-seven years old and works for the law firm of Henson & Talley downtown. My husband is presently GTCC’s Assistant Men’s Basketball Coach. I have been at Weaver since the fall of 1998, so I am in my twelfth year here where I have seen many changes and many principals. When I’m not at Weaver, I enjoy being home spending time with family, friends, and my dog, Jordan.
