Debra Ramey – Networking

I began my teaching career in 1989. I taught Keyboarding, Business Math, and PE and coached volleyball and basketball in California for 7 years. I moved to North Carolina in 1996 and began working with preparing 8th graders for the Computer Skills test. I came to Guilford County Schools in 1998 and taught Computer Applications I, E-Commerce I & II, and Network Administration II—Novell and Microsoft at High Point Central for several years before transferring to Weaver. Since coming to Weaver, I have also taught Networking I, Oracle Database Programming and Network Administration II—Red Hat in addition to Microsoft and Novell. I also teach e-Commerce I for the North Carolina Virtual Public School.

I became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2003 and achieved the Red Hat Certified Technician (RHCT), Microsoft Certified Professional (MCP), and Certified Novell Administrator (CNA) information technology industry certifications.
