Experience: 8 years of teaching (5 years in the US, 3 in the Ivory Coast)
Education: MA in Spanish / Specialty Latin American Studies.
Marital Status: Married I attended the University of Cocody in Abidjan, the Capital of the Ivory Coast (West Africa), where I completed my graduate studies in Spanish in 1999. I speak French, Spanish, and English fluently, a few African languages, and also studied Latin. I love cultural and professional interchange because to me, there’s always something new to learn from others. I love to travel, read when time allows me, and engage in social activities with my family and friends. I am a fan of soccer, but I also like to watch basketball, football games, and tennis.

| Course Descriptions
Spanish I • This class is designed to introduce the Spanish language and culture to students. The course will focus on the basic structure of the Spanish grammar and the vocabulary related to different aspects of daily activities. Students will develop all four communicative skills of listening, speaking, reading, and writing.
Upon completion of this course, students should be able to engage in basic conversation related to familiar topics, understand the basic structures of the Spanish language, and have a better understanding of the Hispanic culture.
Spanish II & III • Spanish II is designed for students with little or more knowledge of Spanish. It builds on the vocabulary and grammatical structures learned in the previous Spanish class (Spanish I).
Spanish III will improve the students’ language skills and develop their ability to communicate satisfactorily in everyday practical situations. They will also acquire most of skills necessary for effective reading and writing in Spanish.
In all levels, students will be introduced to many facets of Hispanic cultures, and develop all four language skills: speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
